Metabolic health and metabolic syndrome. What is it and why is it so important? Metabolic conditions include the following:
• High blood pressure
• High fasting blood sugar
• Excess body fat around the waist
• Low HDL
• High Triglycerides
Metabolic syndrome is defined as having any 3 conditions listed above; however, any one of these conditions can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke or type 2 diabetes.
Do you have any of these conditions? Do you know someone who does?
Here is a sobering statistic: according to the journal, Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders, 7 in 8 adults in the US have at least one of the conditions listed above. That’s 88% of US adults! Sadly, only 12% of US adults do not have any metabolic conditions (optimal metabolic health).
Adopting a ketogenic lifestyle can help reverse metabolic syndrome and help you achieve optimal metabolic health.
Are you part of the 88%? Or do you want to achieve optimal metabolic health and be a part of the 12%?
Let me, a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist, help you be part of the 12%. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for a free consultation or if you have any questions.
